Terry is an industry veteran, with having worked in most aspects of the liquor industry he offers a wealth of hands-on experience and knowledge.  Terry originally hails from Otago; his sales grounding started in 1981 with a job at Wilson Neill and so began his enjoyment for the liquor industry.

In 1986 an opportunity arose to work for Speight's Brewery in Dunedin Initially employed as a merchandiser, he moved through to sales then was promoted to the role of Sales Manager for the Southland / Central Otago regions, based in Invercargill.

Tash Ferguson

Account Manager / Christchurch, Nelson, Blenheim, Central Otago

" I have always been passionate about working with people and have been fortunate to experience some exciting and varied industries over the years. After leaving Uni, completing a BA in Communications I flew with the airlines, taking me to Australia which became home for almost 7 years. I jumped into Sales, after the 2am start times of flying started wearing thin...and worked as an account manager in Food then Pharmacy, travelling throughout Queensland. I still love the tropics but Christchurch was always home and believe we have one of the best little cities on earth!

My love and learning of wine started to grow in my mid 20's - growing up my parents were keen wine enthusiasts, attending events and tastings, stepping outside their comfort zone to try new varietals and sharing such a zest and passion for great food, wine and company. My first wine job was selling for Constellation NZ, then with boutique brand Bald Hills based in Bannockburn. I have learnt endless amounts from my colleagues, customers and all the amazing trainings I've attended and am so excited to join Hop and Vine to further my knowledge.

Most recently I have been working in the Social Media and Digital Comms space, managing business socials and creating content. It has been an exciting journey helping my clients build their brand and foster growth in the online space"

In my spare time you can find me on a track up in the Port Hills, adventuring with my 5 year old year or enjoying a glass of something delicious with friends. "

"Pearse is Hop & Vine's boots on the ground for the Auckland, Hamilton and Northland regions. No stranger to the beer industry, he has worked in a variety of positions including brewery sales, liquor retail, and hospitality. Outside of the office, he has a strong passion for Muay Thai, helping train beginners through to competitive fighters - not something you'd be likely to guess from his colourful and friendly personality!"

Head Office Team

Carole Mitchell

Accounts / Sales Support / Owner

Carole is also from Otago, starting off in a career in retail pharmacy as a Dispensary Technician, that I remained in until Terry's career path moved to Invercargill.
By this time we were proud parents of two boys (Tim and Nic), I landed a part-time job with Croxley Stationary and was able to transfer when we moved to Christchurch in 1997. This role allowed me to develop strong experience in administration, sales, merchandising, telemarketing, and customer relations - skills that were grounding for when in 2001, I took the plunge and tested out working alongside Terry-

I guess it was a success because now 25+ years on, I am still working at H&V!
