The rich wine region known as the Rhône Valley lies in south-eastern France, south of Beaujolais. Geologically speaking, it was created during the last ice age as the Rhône Glacier carved its way south from the Swiss Alps through what is now France

Blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvêdre.

Fairly intense ruby red, clear and brilliant.
Nose: Red fruit, strawberries, blackberries, currants, spices.
Palate: Very round and warm wine, with typical spicy notes.

Matches: Red wine that may be served with cold meats, salad, grilled meat and a large of number Mediterranean dishes.

 Côtes Du Provence

The Cotes de Provence wine region is located in southern France and is part of the Provence wine region. The Mediterranean Sea borders the territory to the south. There are approximately 20000 hectares of vineyards distributed across three departments: Bouches-du-Rhone, Var, and one village in Alpes-Maritimes.

 Rosé 2021

30% Grenache , 20% Syrah , 30% Cinsault, 10% Tibourenc & 10% Mourvèdre

Pale pink colour and bright, typical of this appellation. Great aromatic complexity with notes of red fruits, white peach and citrus. Elegant, it offers a nice balance combining roundness and sweetness

MARETTI - ITALY’S FINEST FULL BODY RED WINES

Sourced from some of the finest appellations of Northern Italy, Maretti offer classic varietal and regional expression with maximum complexity and drinking pleasure. 

The Maretti label is the result of the regions creative winemaking nous with growers opting to make some wines themselves. Maretti makes super drinkable wines. These are vibrant expressions of modern Italian wines with a range that includes a Pinot Grigio, a Langhe Rosso red blend, classic Chianti, Langhe Nebbiolo and a benchmark Barolo. The wines are all accessible and drink now propositions yet offer mid-term cellaring potential and all lend themselves to being matched to classic Italian cuisine.

CHIANTI 2020

Chianti like this is so drinkable. The nose is vibrant with dark fruits and black olive complemented by a savoury amaro type complexity. Fresh onthe palate, with fine grain tannins  that ensures it ends dry but with impresive flavour. Great drinkability here and a perfect foil for a home-made pasta with a meaty ragu.

75% Barbera 25% Nebbiolo
Alcohol: 13.5%

ROSSO 2021

Fragrant, lifted fruits of the forest overlaid by notes of ried herbs, some leather and aniseed. This is a medium weight wine, very well balanced with plush fruit character, sandy tannins and a lovely fresh clip of acidity delivering excellent Italian drinkability. This is a very approachable wine that will match brilliantly with food as well being great on its own. The perfect pasta or pizza wine.

Piedmont, in the foothills of the Alps in the north west of Italy, is home to the country’s finest full-bodied red wines. The greatest wines are made from the extremely long lived Nebbiolo. Barbera however is the most widely planted and popular variety, due to its fruit-driven expressiveness and youthful approachability.

 

Region: Veneto
Grape Variety: 90%Garganega 10%Trebbiano

Soave is a small commune in Veneto, part of the province of Verona. The region’s high altitude and cool climate create an elegant expression of Soave, imparted with mineral complexity by the stony soil. Soave is most commonly described as a dry white made from the Garganega variety. This wine is from the Classico designaton: indicating wines produced in the heartland of the Soave region around the sloping vineyards of Verona.

SOAVE CLASSICO 2021

A great example of Soave showing bold aromas of stonefruit and citrus, with grilled nuts, marzipanandspice. The palate is mouthfilling with a bold fruit signature 
and a hints of minerality. It’s full of bright fruit flavours and balanced by fine acidity ensuring a good match for  barbecued prawns with chilli and garlic.
